Vice President Verheugen has confirmed his participation. Ministers/State Secretaries of Tourism from Member States are invited to participate in the Forum by giving political orientations during the informal ministerial meeting that will be held on 18 September 2009.
The event will be web-streamed live through the Commission web site (link will be provided at a later stage), thus giving the opportunity to address a different audience of home/office viewers to follow the debate alongside those delegates present in Bordeaux. Moreover, the award ceremony on "European Destinations of Excellence" (EDEN) will be held in Bordeaux, with the participation of twenty winning destinations from twenty Member States.
