Top first meeting of the Network in Florence on 16 and 17 November 2007
Gabriele Gugliemi, ETLC President, took part in the first meeting of the Network in Florence on 16 and 17 November 2007 as representative of the European tourism trade unions.
His speech in Florence focused on the issues of seasonal work, migrant workers, social sustainability for the population in the tourism destinations and workers' rights; he underlined the importance of social dialogue, i.e. the constant involvement of workers' and employers' organisations at every level: European, national, regional, and for the whole tourism sector.
The Euromeeting has become an institutional appointment and a second meeting was held in Barcellona on 15 February 2008
