Reports and documents on the International Conference on Sustainable Tourism, 27 to 29 November 2008 in Riccione

From 27 to 29 November 2008 was held in Riccione, Italy, the second international conference on sustainable tourism.

The conference was attended by representatives of governments, NGOs, environmental organizations, employers’ and workers' organizations. The trade unions of employees in the tourism industry were represented by the President of the ETLC Gabriele Guglielmi.

The conference concluded with the adoption of the Charter of Rimini, a document that contains guidelines for sustainable development in tourism destinations. The program of the conference gave also room for other issues such as the Euromeeting of the European regions and a seminar on "Tourism for All".
